             The Eugene F. Karst Collection contains a variety of articles, newspapers, pamphlets, publications, correspondence, posters, and travel items related to Mr. Karst's work for the U. S.              The material consists of correspondence from John R. Bradstreet, S.J., a California Province Jesuit, to his sister Consuelo in the years just prior to, during, and immediately after his service as a United States Army chaplain in the Second World War. There are also a few letters to Bradstreet from soldiers with whom he had served, and several notes to Consuelo from family members as well as acquaintances of her brother.       This collection consists of photographs, postcards, travel folders, guidebooks and other memorabilia gathered by Louisa Jekel and her colleagues. These items provide information about the activities and history of the 70th General Hospital.
