Thi series, arranged chronologically, contains notices of events in Bannon' career.

Notable items include: a profile of Bannon entitled "Historian of the Hemisphere" (1961); two reviews of Bannon's book "Bolton and the Spanish Borderlands" (1964); and various mentions of Bannon in "Chalk Talk," the University faculty/staff publication (1970-73).

This series, arranged alphabetically by last name of correspondent and chronologically thereafter, contains personal and professional correspondence between Bannon and his colleagues and friends.

Schuyler (filed under "Coonan"); letters to Bannon from Matthew Germing, S. Scope and Contents These letters exchanged by Bannon and his student Magnaghi were donated to the Archives by Magnaghi and appended to the material forming the bulk of this collection. The two men discuss Magnaghi's dissertation research and his professional life, including his job search. Included is a letter from Magnaghi to John R.
