This collection consists of two scrapbooks, as well as ephemera, created by Dorothy Krauskopf LeVora, a student at Saint Louis University from 1929 to 1933.

Dorothy Krauskopf LeVora (1911-2003) was born in Madison County, Illinois, and raised in Granite City, Illinois. In 1929, she entered the School of Education at Saint Louis University. During her time at the university, she was involved with the Playhouse Club and Delta Epsilon Phi sorority. In 1933, she was the prom representative of the School of Education and the first woman to win a key award from the Catholic School Press Association for her work as the society editor of the University News and the Archive (University yearbook). She earned her Bachelor of Education in 1933 and later worked for the School of Graduate Studies. In 1951, she married Joseph Bernard LeVora.

This collection contains one scrapbook documenting LeVora’s education at Saint Louis University, containing programs, newspaper clippings, student records, and other ephemera, as well as some insert material from her time in middle school and high school. The second scrapbook documents her wedding to Joseph B. LeVora in 1951, and also contains other ephemera, primarily greeting cards, from the 1950s.

This collection offers insight to student life at Saint Louis University during the 1930s, as well as to the experience of women at the University during this time.
