Biography

Dorothy Krauskopf LeVora was born on January 4th, 1911 in Madison County, Illinois, and was raised in Granite City. She attended Saint Louis University from 1929 to 1933, where she earned her Bachelor of Education. During her time at Saint Louis University, she was the society editor of the University News and the Archive (University yearbook), for which she won a key award from the Catholic School Press Association. She was also the prom representative for the School of Education in 1933. She later worked for the School of Graduate Studies. In 1951, she married Joseph Bernard LeVora of Hartford, Illinois. She died on September 28, 2003 and is buried at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
