Notable correspondences: Two missives from Vladimir Golschmann, conductor of the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, comment on Allen Spitzer's thoughts on Gustav Mahler's "Das Lied von der Erde". There are several communications from someone signing herself Grossmutter (Grandmother in German). A. J. Hanna asks whether Confederate Major General John G. Walker attended SLU.
