Scope and Contents
These two watercolor illustrations of an elvish Billiken playing with cats were prototypes, one of which was for "While Billiken Slept," a short story published May 1907 in "The Canada-West Magazine" in collaboration with Florence Pretz Smalley's friend, the writer Sara Hamilton Birchall. The second watercolor "Pussy Willow Mew" is a later illustration drawn after 1912.
