Content Description
Ms. Mitra’s collection includes scrapbooks and recordded news segments (VHS) that document the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina (1992-1995) and its aftermath. created between July 1992 and October 2002. The tablets contain news articles about the former Yugoslavia and Mitra's marginal notes and demonstrate the scope and range of news about the war available to Americans. The collection also includes VHS cassettes and related materials. This collection includes scrapbooks and recorded news segments (on VHS) documenting the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina (1992-1995) and its aftermath. Also includes pre-recorded videotape of Croatia: Land of 1,100 Islands and 101 Dalmatians (directed by by Jakov & Dominik Sedlar; 45 min.) and accompanying letter from the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in the United States of America. N. Mitra (born in Yugoslavia) also donated four books that are cataloged separately by title.
