Flower of Srebrenica Sticker, 2025

Item — Box: 1, Envelope: Srebrenica Flower

Scope and Contents

The Flower of Srebrenica (sometimes Srebrenica Daisy) is an internationally recognized symbol of the 1995 genocide of more than 8,000 men and boys in July 1995. Its 11 petals recall the date of the beginning of the massacre on July 11 (now the UN's International Day of Reflection and Commemoration).

White represents the innocence of the victims and the greencenter symbolizes hope, life, and renewal {and reminders of the rows of green caskets at the mass burials at the Potočari memorial cemetery).

The original memorial flowers were designed as a small crocheted pin by a local women’s association in Gračanica, Bosnia and Herzegovina to preserve traditional craft (Gračaničko keranje) and honor the victims.

The flowers can frequently be seen at annual comemorations on pins, clothing, promotional materials, and other pieces of ephemera like this sticker.
