Jenkins-Walworth Family Manuscript Collection [DOC MSS 11]
Scope and Contents
The Jenkins/Walworth Family Manuscript Collection deals mainly with the lives of Clarence A. Walworth, James G. Jenkins, and Ellen Hyde Walworth. There is also mention of Reuben Walworth and his daughter Reubena Walworth. Although the items date from 1881 to 1940, most of the material is post-1900. The material is arranged by family name and provides snapshots of the personalities and accomplishments of the more prominent members. The collection is by no means exhaustive on any one of these persons. Rather, it should be used only as a stimulus to further research.

Abstract
The Jenkins/Walworth Family Manuscript Collection (DOC MSS 11) reflect the personal accomplishments and qualities of several members of the Jenkins and Walworth families as well as their personal contributions to the educational and humanitarian needs of their times. The records were received as a gift of Miss Fannie Benson Jenkins, grand-niece of the Reverend Clarence A. Walworth. Although the precise date of the gift is unknown, it was probably between 1950 and 1970. The collection is organized into two series: 1. Jenkins Family 2. Walworth Family.
