Scope and Contents
This folder contains a biography of Clarke along with handwritten notes on his life and corrections to the text of the biography. Included are: lists of men who knew Clarke's intelligence work in France during World War I; names given to Clarke's mother Elizabeth Clemens Clarke by General John J. Pershing's secretary; and lists of officers who signed Clarke's orders during the war. Also here are lists of hospitals in France, of Clarke's orders and stations, and notes on and maps of major battles.
