Scope and Contents

This series, arranged chronologically, contains items that Spitzer collected while attending various functions, events, and associations. The materials consist of programs, certificates, brochures, pamphlets and newsletters.

Included here are: a menu of a ship of the Hamburg Amerika Line, on which friends of Allen Spitzer signed their names (1932); menus and newsletters of the "S. S. President Coolidge" of the American President Lines, on which the Spitzers were evacuated to the United States from Hong Kong in 1940; programs of conferences in which Allen Spitzer participated; and a booklet commemorating the death of anthropologist Robert Redfield (1958).
