Biography

Clarence Edward Youngman was an aviation engineer and alumni of Parks College. He was born in 1925 to Furry and Margaret Youngman in Warren, Ohio. He received a B.S. in Aviation Maintenance Engineering at Parks College of Engineering Aviation & Technology at St. Louis University in 1951. At Parks College, he was an active member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, Alpha Sigma Nu, Alpha Pi Sigma, the Student Council, and the ROTC. A recipient of the Purple Heart, he also later served in WWII and the Korean War. He died in 2006.

Scope and Contents

The Clarence E. Youngman Collection contains materials from an alumni of Parks College of Engineering Aviation & Technology at St. Louis University who studied Aviation Maintenance Engineering. The majority of the photographs date from circa the 1940s to 1981 and are of Youngman and his peers, including portraits, the Alpha Pi Sigma Parks fraternity from 1950, dance, social, wedding, army, and airplane photos.
