Biography

The Ginocchio-Jones Fruit Company was a local fruit company that operated in the 19th and 20th centuries in Kansas City, Missouri. It was formed in the 1880s after R. Its predecessor, the Ginocchio Brothers and Co. in St. Louis, had been wholesale dealers specializing in acquiring “foreign, California, and tropical fruits” for the local area and had been in business since the 1850s. The Ginocchio-Jones Fruit Company, incorporated in 1899, would later operate in Kansas City to both import fruit from afar as well as sell local specialties such as apples and pears.
